II. Color

The color palette for this series was developed last summer — in an attempt to capture through color the magic of winter dusk, the richness of the winter sky after sunset, the mystical anticipation of a night that will give way to dawn. Inspired by the skies in the paintings of Arkhip Kuindzhi, the melting waters of the winter Dnipro, and the rare, precious winter sun. It turned out beautifully!
